Sharing the same parking lot with the Chicago & Alton Depot is the National Frontier Trails Museum which some of you may be interested in touring. Admission to the Museum is $6.00 for adults, $5.00 for seniors and $3.00 for youth 6-17. We have not planned an organized lunch following the tour but there are several restaurants in the area that you may wish to visit.
President's Update
Welcome to the TCA-Heart of America Chapter web site!

This is your internet destination for all things to do with our TCA Heart of America chapter and model railroading in our area. We'll always have an updated meeting schedule, information about upcoming events, and other information that you ask for here for your review. We also hope to incorporate as much member input as possible.

Our member photo layout gallery is open so send Don Miller (olathedonm@aol.com) some pictures and any information about your layout that you would like to share.

Please email me at tcahoa@tcahoa.org to share any ideas you may have for the site.

Our HOA Chapter annual meeting was held 12/09/17 at Avila University, Kansas City, MO. HOA Chapter President Steve Dickerson presided over the meeting which was attended by approximately 40 chapter members, family members and guests.

After introductions, chapter treasurer Mike Bartley gave a brief financial report. Mike reported that our current bank balance is at $4,755.50 with 63 members having renewed their memberships for 2018 thus far. Mike also asked that members keep their email and mailing addresses current with him. Our primary means of communication with chapter members is via email, so up-to-date email addresses are important.

Steve gave a brief review of our HOA 2017 activities and discussed preliminary plans for 2018 activities. Steve then opened the meeting to all attendees to discuss what activities and events they would like to see our chapter involved in. A lively discussion ensued, with many thoughts and ideas presented.

After a short intermission, past chapter President and past Secretary/Treasurer Andy Dubill presented a program on the capture of the U-505 during World War II.
