Member Contributions to TCA. Thanks to the many members who made charitable contributions to both National TCA and the TCAHOA Chapter recently.
The Chapter forwarded over $200 to National for their Annual Giving Drive!!
Many members also contributed to TCAHOA when they paid their 2010 dues.
All tax verifications have been mailed out.

Welcome to the TCA-Heart of America Chapter web site!
This is your internet destination for all things to do with our chapter and model railroading in Kansas City. We'll always have an updated meeting schedule, information about upcoming events, and other information that you ask for here for your review. We also hope to incorporate as much member input as possible.
We're also excited to get started on a member layout photo gallery so send Chapter Vice President Don Miller (olathedonm@aol.com) some pictures and any information about your layout that you would like to share.

I want to remind all of our members about a couple important events coming up very soon that they can participate in along with other club members. The first is our Kansas City-Independence Kansas Event that is coming up on September 11th. Members will all receive information about it.
Second is our Annual Meeting at Union Station in early December. The activity committee is planning a great event. MARK YOUR CALENDARS once it is announced. Spouses and guests are welcome to attend.
Last but not least--The next two Mid America train shows will be August 8th and November 28th, 2010 at the BTC Exhibit Hall. See you there--be sure to wear your TCAHOA shirt and name tag!!

The TCAHOA Chapter is fortunate to have owners or representatives of two of our area's train shops as members. Norman and Susan Hussey of Collector's Choice in South Overland Park have been great supporters of the TCA, our chapter and the hobby for years.
Jan Brocker from ToToTrains in Lawrence would like to offer a discount to TCAHOA members who purchase goods from his shop. Here is a little information about ToToTrains and what he is offering:
- ToToTrains is located at 1031 Vermont Street , Suite A, in Lawrence Kansas 66044 . The phone number is (785) 766-0467 and the website can be found at www.tototrains.com.
- Jan sets up at many local train shows and the detail on some of the trains he sells is amazing!
- ToToTrains specializes in European made trains of all gauges and is a dealer for Märklin, Trix, Roco, Herpa, LGB, Piko, Fleishmann and Brawa.
- Jan is also a full Walthers dealer and while he does not actively stock Walthers items in the shop, he special orders items for customers at least once a week.
- Jan aggressively prices his various items and generally gives a 15% to 30% discount (depending on the brand) on Walthers catalog prices for customers. He will give TCAHOA members another 5% off, when they show their TCA ID card and photo ID making it an excellent deal for the TCAHOA Chapter!
- When you go into the shop or order by phone or email, you will need to give him your seven digit TCA number to obtain the extra discount.

- ToToTrains is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00am until 4:00pm. If those times or days don't work for you, just give Jan a call or send him an email and he'll be happy to set up another time for you.
